I stayed here back in May of 2008... As three of the four other reviewers so far have said, this er..."hotel" is a terrible disappointment. Pros: 1. Best hotel in Nome. 2. Quiet 3. Clean 4. Guest laundry Cons: 1. “Conference room” is really just 2 guest rooms with a retractable wall between and retractable beds on each end. Being that this was my first trip to Nome, I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the Aurora Inn. Very nice and clean hotel. The rooms were spacious with microwave and refrigerator in certain units. I do not think the web site does it any justice...the hotel looks much better than what is posted. Staff... more
