My onion soup was good but nothing special. My Schnitzel was tough,thicker and not as crispy as I remember getting during the 3 years that I lived in Germany. The desert crepe was big and tasty but we all agreed that the crepe itself was quite rubbery. It took almost 1/2 hour to get 4 draft beers served to us.... more

Boulevard Haus is the new German restaurant in Dayton. This former French Restaurant (Cafe Boulevard) in the Oregon District is run by the same chef. It is a "MODERN" German restaurant that goes beyond the cliches of brats and beers. We traveled to Germany for vacation this summer. While it is under new management and I do see how they are dialing it back in lack if cotton balls etc... I do see how they are expanding with their offering for breakfast in the Crowne room etc. The front desk was anemic at best as they did not recognize me, were inflexible with some of the requests such... more
