Seriously, the food is very good, some of the best in town. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that I refuse to come back due to the arrogant, pretentious attitude of the staff and owners. I would like to give 1 star, but feel that would be unfair since the food really is... more
Sure wish I would have read the reviews of Whitehouse Crawford before we went there for a special meal. I love Trip Advisor, and have used it often to steer us in the right direction for hotels, but have never used it for restaurant reviews. I will not make that mistake again! It sounds like Whitehouse Crawford has equally good... more
I have been to Aloha Sushi a few times since they opened. Sushi is one of my favorite foods, but I wasn't expecting great sushi from a restaurant in Walla Walla. This was about what I expected, good enough to make me come back, but definitely not the best sushi I have ever had. The fish seems pretty fresh and... more
Thai is my absolute favorite type of food, so I was really excited when I heard this restaurant came to town. Walla Walla isn't really known for it's wide array of ethnic foods, and there are not a lot of great restaurants in town that are affordable. Thai City is both delicious and affordable. My favorite dish is red curry,... more
The place has a certain charm: it was built in 1948 and has been kept up well...an older model of motel with individual doors opening right out on the parking. It is close to the airport although that doesn't matter much because WW is a small city. The place is totally clean and the beds are comfortable. My room had... more
The tasting room is a lovely and welcoming space - be sure to notice the ceiling tiles. Loved the history lesson on the labels. An amazing Cabernet Franc! more
The pros: -- Shower head is taller than 6 ft -- Shower curtain lets light into tub area -- No cigarette smoke smell -- Clean linens -- New mattresses and boxsprings (yes I checked) -- Location -- Price -- Great reception on "free" wifi (at least in room 108) -- 24hr checkin -- might have to wake up the night... more
Sometimes we feel uncomfortable at B&B's, as innkeepers can seem pretentious and phony. Not here. We felt welcome and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Especially appreciated having good, fresh coffee available at any time. Our room, Cezanne's Sanctuary, was beautiful, with windows looking out in two directions, into trees and out over the lawn in back, catching the morning... more
Went here on a monday night after reading the other reviews on Tripadvisor. Like another reviewer said, the workers are all college aged at best, which makes you question the experience of the workers. I've typically gone for the $5-8 roll type sushi places before in Portland, OR, so that's the type of food/service I was expecting here. I'm not... more
The customer service was terrible. We decided to leave after 1.5 hours at the table with no indication that our entree's would arrive. We asked for a check but were told we would have to wait for the entree's because we would be charged (event though they never made it to the table?)? Long story short...it was a bad night... more
Having just had a "big, nice dinner" the night before, we weren't looking to break the bank or have a 5 course meal, so we took a chance on Aloha Sushi, which turned out to be a great choice. Sushi is above average (not the best, but definitely far from the worst), place looks nice, and the sushi chefs seem... more
We stayed in a suite (two actually, see below) and found the hotel to be very nice, if a bit overpriced. Going in, I decided to book a room in the tower, as we enjoy historic properties and it just seemed that the rooms would be more "special" than those in the mid-rise section. We certainly weren't disappointed, as our... more
I booked this through Entertainment. In the meantime, my father had a heart attack and I cancelled the first night's stay. We went down the next night, but they still charged me for the first night even though I had explained to them that my father had a heart attack. Real sympathetic folks! They were not all there and I... more
We travelled with friends to Walla Walla from Portland for a short wine country getaway at the end of September, 2008. We particularly wanted to stay at this property based on personal recommendations of others. We were forced into Sunday and Monday nights even though booking months in advance since it is very popular and they have only 4 rooms.... more
Just returned from a weekend in Walla Walla to visit our daughter at college and thought we would try the new Brasserie Four in Walla Walla. The atomosphere is like a cafe in village in the French countryside (down to the wood benches along the wall) to the food (coq au vin, cassolet, etc). We had Pizzas, Salad Nicoise and... more
Having a memorable trip to the Walla Walla wine country will require memorable accomodations, and that is exactly what you will get at the Inn at Blackberry Creek. We have stayed at numerous B&B's at home and abroad and the accomodations and hospitality that are offered by Barbara, the proprietress, would make this inn one of our top recommendations. The... more
Stayed here on a Girlfriends Get-a-way trip and had excellent accomodations. The room was large and very nice. Shower was hot, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was as good as Best Western gets, so can't complain. more
Aloha Sushi located in Historical Downtown Walla Walla has some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. Aloha has an elegant atmosphere complemented by courteous and friendly service. The sushi was great. I went with my wife who was skeptical; however, they had a exquisite teriyaki plate which she found very satisfying. Myself on the other hand enjoyed the... more
The classic architecture all recently updated is very elegant and enjoyable. The lobby itself is a great place to lounge and read a book. Anyone can see that no expense was spared on the fully updated rooms and lobby done to match the lavish elegance of the original hotel built in the 1920's. I stayed in the main tower room... more
