The previous reviews all highlight the pleasant laid back atmosphere and the wonderful location. They also mention the help given by Mr Nice who is still their working behind the bar. Unfortunately the owners, Dina and Mark (Aunt and Nephew), have now taken an active role in running Kilima Kidogo and in Dina's case this has change the whole dynamic... more

“Don't bother dining here”

Wanting a break from our own hotel food, 7 of us arrived at Dhow Inn last Saturday evening for dinner. Our meal was so bad it nearly ruined our evening. I would not recommend eating at this hotel while staying in Paje. A few reasons why: - We waited 2.5 hours for our main course - The meals were overpriced... more

Owned by South Africans, so very homey. Friendly, stunning, and quieter than the North side of the island, which means the beach is not packed with tourists. Close to dolphins, and the reef, and only 45 minutes from Stone Town and the airport. Pretty much in the middle of everything. more
