Gloucester Inn by the Sea

Decent rooms with all amenities, and they all seem to be faced to the Ocean. Very clean. Decent beds. When I arrived (late and during a storm) there was a very friendly and efficient young guy at the front desk. I got a decent rate of 99 USD for a very nice room. Recommended! more

Having first stayed here in September 2006, but only for two nights, I returned for a week, safe in the knowledge that my accommodation would be more than satisfactory. (Rockport itself can be seen in a day, but there are other attractions in the area - including Boston, accessible via train - which makes this inn an excellent 'base' for... more

I heard that the price of lobster was down so I stopped here for an "all lobster" early supper. I did not order it but they had a special on 1 1/2 pound lobsters at $15.95 for one lobster and $19.95 for two! Instead I had the lobster bisque (served with homemade corn bread), as good as any I have... more

Very special place!!! My family stayed here when we were in town for a family reunion. It's a big Victorian house, beautiful inside, on a high hill above the harbor, and the view is amazing. We wanted to sit on the porch for hours looking out (lighthouse, tall ships, etc), it was so peaceful, with pretty gardens. The owner is... more

Roy Moore Lobster Company

Another repeat performance! Roy Moore Lobster Company does not disappoint the true seafood lover. Order your lobster cooked to perfection, grab a seat on the back deck, and chow down. Bring dollar bills for the soda machine. If you are looking for a restaurant type experience this is not the place...try the Fish Shack down the block. It is owned... more

Upon seeing all the new changes at Blackburn's I was frightened that my low key Sunday morning Jazz brunches were over! To my surprise the place has only gotten better! The bloodymaries are perfect and are accompanied by a large cold shrimp, the perfect touch! I'm relieved to report, I only have more reason to get up Sunday morning! more

During our annual vacation to the area we never miss a chance to dine at this place! The food is cheap and elegant more importantly it is the best Thai food I have ever eaten. My family and I have toyed with the idea of flying all the way from Pittsburgh, just to have dinner here! more

The Inn at Babson Court

When our usual motel in Cape Ann was overbooked, we had to find accommodations on very short notice. I found the website for The Inn at Babson Court full of pictures, history, and reasonable prices. Only by changing the name to “Your Home at Babson Court” could one express the level of attention and genuine interest in our needs that... more

We just had our wedding at the Ocean View Inn and we had a blast. The location is beautiful and the staff is wonderful! Peter, Rick, and Katie helped us have an amazing rehearsal dinner and wedding. Included in the rental price is the help of a wedding coordinator for the day of the wedding. We were lucky that the... more

In early October my husband and I, and our friends from Texas, spent 3 nights at this marvelous inn. Upon arrival, the inn just seemed to welcome and beckon us in. Then, upon entry, it simply took my breath away. It was tastefully decorated, the rooms well appointed, the bed comfortable and, did I mention, clean. The innkeepers, John and... more

Our bus tour group from Northern Wisconsin had a delicious meal plus we were entertained by the owner who told us the history & some tales of his beloved Gloucester. The meal was served in a timely manor, the setting was elegant & the experience was wonderful. We will certainly stop there again when we are in the area. more

Tobey and John have a lovely B & B. The beds are great - huge and firm so I didn't suffer with a bad back like I usually do. Our room was wonderful - large with 2 chairs to read in, a wonderful view of the Halloween graveyard opposite and a super relaxed atmosphere. Tobey's breakfasts were substantial - scrambled... more

My husband and I are not to be considered world travelers. Over the past 15 years we have taken several cruses, visited Alaska, England, Irland, Scotland, and have visited much of the US. Our faveriate is the east coast which we visit often in the fall. We like to stay at vintage B&B's. Homes with a history and antique furnishings.... more

We ate there several times - good breakfasts but very noisy and overpriced. Will not eat there again and here's the reason - I personally observed a middle aged employee wipe the floor, front of the counter where people put their feet and then wipe the counter and sugar dispenser with the same cloth. TOTALLY DISGUSTING! If this is their... more

What a wonderful week! We spent our 20th anniversary in the New England area. It was our first time in the area. We really enjoyed the inn. Debbie, Nick and the staff were wonderful hosts. My wife and I have bee staying at the CAMI for several years, it is great if you have pets, they are very tolerant, and you can't beat the view anywhere in the area. Now the nitty gritty.
