After 2 weeks on the road staying mainly in game reserves, we were looking forward to staying in a hotel for a change. We were not disappointed, in fact our expectations were vastly exceeded. I have not got much to add to the previous reviews: it is an authentic old farm with beautiful rooms furnished with antiques. Foy Vermaak's family has been the area for generations and he has an extensive knowledge of the history of the farm, the area and also the nearby Anglo-Zzulu war battlefield sites (as featured in the film "Zulu")... more

Stayed in one of the luxury rooms opening onto a courtyard. The room was charming, perhaps a little small for two people each with 3 weeks baggage, but very pretty.
