The only trouble with our stay at Akrotiri Estates was that it was too short. We enjoyed using the guest wing (suitable for a family or two couples traveling together) which afforded us comfort, privacy, and a lovely view of lavender and the olive estate. My wife and I spent a couple of nights in Greytown on a trip from Auckland to the Capital Wellington. We based ourselves in Greytown and took the excellent train service into Wellington from Woodside Station (around a 5 min drive from Greytown). Absolute bliss. If you are wanting to get away for a romantic weekend in the heart of Martinborough, really look no further. Wendy & her husband have produced a truly perfect retreat for those wanting to truly connect with their partner. The photos simply don't do the place justice. more
