We booked this hotel as a four star and had checked the reviews on here first. Arrived in the early hours of the morning (5am - never again!) after a long transfer time (1 hour 45 min total) - worth booking a taxi if you discover you are the last drop off and the coach is full as it is... more

We have just returned from staying at the platanista for 2 weeks and can only say that this is the best hotel we have stayed in. There are only good points and I can honestly say there wasn't any bad points. The rooms are immaculate and the maids come in every day with fresh towels and throughly clean your room... more

We really enjoyed the views, absolutely amazing. However, the food was overcooked at best (probably through fear of food poisoning!) There was a choice of meals and the staff in the restaurant were very nice. The cleanliness of the resort was acceptable including the pools which were ok too. The problems we had were that we booked a two bedroom... more
