This was an excellent hotel. The service was great, particularly the receptionist (Mario?) and the maid. The room was lovely. Lovely the first week. windy on the beach but not too many tourists. Second week strangely became much hotter and suddenly everywhere was packed with a very different crowd. Not so nice. I assume the 2nd week in August onwards is some kind of national holiday time? Also a bit worried about the water quality at Carcavelos...saw some worrying reports... more
