Levi is one of the most popular and fast-growing winter sport resorts in Finland. The first snowflakes usually fall in October-November and the skiing season continues until mid-May. With 45 slopes, 26 lifts and more than 200 km of cross-country trails, Levi offers the skiers the best there is. There are different types of slopes and skiing tracks that offer a possibility to enjoy skiing for both beginners and more experienced skiers. In the beginning of the season one can start with skiing on the 9 km long artificial “first snow” track, which is free of charge. The most challenging and well-assorted Snow Park in Finland for the snowboarders and the freestyle enthusiasts is situated in Levi. The Park takes advantage of the natural shapes of the Levi fell and gives the opportunity to ski also with the newest gear. The resort has been built with respect towards nature, and it is planned with keeping two principles in mind. Firstly as big amount as possible of all the services are planned to be within walking distance, and secondly the customers should be accommodated close to natural surroundings. The cross-country trails and the ski lifts are only a short walk away from accommodation. The regular ski busses go around Levi during the skiing season and transport the holidaymakers from the centre to the slopes on the other sides of the Levi fell as well as to the holiday apartment areas. Levi Fell village is a holiday town, which offers a wide range of first-rate services to its guests! « less

Great slopes to everyone. I'd prefer spring 'cause it's just too damn cold up there in the middle of winter :) anyways, most def worth going! More

Ski slopes were better than I expected, but there are far too many drag-lifts. In that biting cold some (preferably all) but especially those that cover long distances, should be replaced with fast chairlifts. The childrens/ learner ski area to the left facing the slopes was awesome - a fantastic place to learn to ski! Levi needs more cosy slope-side restaurants. More

We went to Levi in Feb-Mar 12 and had an amazing time. The information centre which is minutes from the centre of the village has everything you need. Dog sledding, reindeer rides, northern lights adventures and heaps more. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights twice. A little bit the first night then they went away, but on... More

The hills are not the best in Lapland, but the resort is. Unlike e.g. Ylläs or Pallas, Levi has mananged to build a true town centre with services, shops, a spa, restaurant and bars - and probably the best after ski in Lapland. The hills are not that bad either: the world cup slopes for pros and the Southern slopes... More

skied here for the first time in the first week of March. Had 3 blue sky and sun days and only 1 really bad weather day. Lovely quiet pistes - and one point on the Saturday we couldn't see anyone else on the run we were on! Didn't have to queue for lifts though the T bars did become a... More

Great for beginners and intermediates. Wide pistes and no lift queues. The village is full of excellent restaurants suiting all tastes and budgets. We were in Levi during February and would advise packing plenty of thermals. Provided you manage to keep warm it is an fantastic destination for a family holiday. More

We went to Levi in Feb/March 2012 and although I enjoyed the skiing, by the end of the week i really hated the t-bar drag lifts. Most of the round are serviced by these types of lifts so you spend lots of time hanging on,slowly sliding up hill for sometimes over 1km at a time More

LEVI A small, cozy, picturesque but busy little town in Lapland, with bars, shops and eateries. As with the rest of Scandinavia, can be pricy, but supermarkets are not much different to the UK. Beer and heavier stuff is available at resonable prices in the ALKO mart. I skiied for 4 days, costing £170 for lift pass and full ski... More
