My husband and I absolutely loved the Amizmiz market day and Berber village lunch that we did with Berber Travel Adventures. The sights and sounds of the market were something we could never have experienced on our own. Because we were with Jamal or one of his crew members, the local people were friendly and even permitted photographs to be... More

We chose to hike 3 days with Berber Travel Adventures based on TripAdvisor reviews. We left Marrakech 6 hours after arriving in Morocco to make sure we saw the Berber market in Amizmiz on Tues. Jamal couldn't lead us, but arranged for Nouedinne and Mohamad (and his donkey) to lead us into the mountains and into wonderful, welcoming Berber homes.... More

Jamal is a funny, true local and extremely experienced guide. Going and living among the berbers in their villages really gives a glimpse into their world, and takes you right into the heart of their unique culture, warm hospitality, and beautiful villages and landscape. If when traveling and holidaying, you like to meet beautiful and interesting people that you will... More

I would highly recommend this great day out with the lovely guide Jamal. It's a unique experience, although does involve a fair amount of walking (we did the moderate excursion). Not to worry though, they have a donkey to carry the bags and that can provide your legs with a brief rest! The families you meet along the way are... More

My boyfriend and i went on a one day hard walking trip with Jamal in the middle of March, we had a fantastic day hiking through the mountains, the trip has some breathtaking views and Jamal was an excellent guide, very chatty without being overly pushy. We had various stops along the way in local houses which provided a really... More

In March we scheduled a Basic Walking Itinerary with Jamal to visit a Berber village. We had explored Marrakech fully and were excited to see something different in Morocco. We had a fabulous day. Jamal's driver picked us up from our riad promptly at 9 am. He was a very interesting and articulate man from Amizmiz (a small town just... More

We went with our 7 year old son and we had a fantastic time! Our son did the trip on top of a donkey and he loved it. We had a guide and a local was accompanying the donkey. They were both very child friendly, very attentive and great company during the trip. The food at the bereber family was... More

We booked this trip at the last minute, the evening before we wanted to do it, because I was put off by our hotels offered trip which cost a small fortune and seemed to consist of driving in a 4 wheel drive and looking out the window mostly! We were not disappointed by our decision. Our 'grand taxi' to Amizmiz,... More

My girlfriend and I had a great time with Jamal. He took us up into the mountains through several villages and showed us the daily life in a village. Hiking from one village to another we could enjoy the beautifull scenery while learning about life in Morocco. Jamal is very informative and wellspoken with a lot of knowledge which he... More

We had such a great time during our day hike with Jamal. We called him from Marrakech and he arranged for a taxi to pick us up and drive us to Amizmiz and back. Our kids (ages 6, 9, 11) were fascinated by all the rocks they found along the way, and Jamal was really patient while they stopped to... More
