A great place to visit! You can see the whole valley and Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Excellent re-construction and history. Museum on grounds is very good and the green tea room is a treat. Spends a few hours and enjoy Japan's history.

Little bit of history, Kakegawa Castle's tower was the first to be reconstructed out of wood so it looks and feels like the real thing. I've been to many castles and this one does give the same experience as a genuine one. The hall of Kakegawa Castle is real and really cool. The tea ceremony is also worth the price.

Kakegawa city in Shizuoka prefecture has many good places. Above all, I recommend you to visit Kakegawa Castle.
