I've been going now since February 2009, I've had all the lessons and the instructors are amazing! I've even started to do freestyle thanks to the Subvert Academy who do a two hour freestyle coaching session every now & again on a thursday (it's on the chill factores website) & I'd never done freestyle at all....infact it put the fear... more

We booked to go on the slopes for a few days in a row but staff was quite unprofessional and amateur on our arrival, we had to wait for our tickets details for such a long time that we had make a complaint, the manager never called us back nor any apoligy received other than that it was great, the... more

I have skied for 30+ years mainly on dry slopes and week breaks to the french alps. This was my 2nd visit and would highly recommend a visit if you are a capable skier. My kids (10 & 6) were coming down from the top with the biggest smiles on their faces, it was great to see. I didn't use... more

I took my family and a family friend to Chill Factor during the school holidays. Surprisingly for the school holidays, it was not too busy. The staff were excellent, well organized and well mannered. The prices were very reasonable and the whole family throughly enjoyed the experience. So much so my kids are already planning a return visit. more

I have been going to the chill factore for about four months now with my family and think it is fantastic...we are all addicted. My husband and son took to the skiing like ducks to water when we were in Austria for the new year but I could not get it I was scared and useless and eventually had to... more

As one of the earlier reviewers pointed out, don't expect to ski on the main slope if you can't stop / turn. If you are a beginner there is tuition but options for having a practice on your own appear limited to the lesson only (on a small side slope). We visited in July (so nobody practicing for winter ski... more

I was quite surprised to read a few negative reviews about chill factor e. My experience went like clockwork. I chose the six hour snowboarding lesson for beginners. I also chose to visit off peak which in my opinion made the most sense. Of course the place will be busy evenings and weekends so why complain? If you want a... more

Great place to learn. Will save a week of resort training but for spectators the "outdoor" viewing area is like standing in a freezer. Wrap up well if you are watching. more

I took my 14 yr old son and myself to the chill factore about 1 month ago during the day (off peak). The staff were well organised and friendly and the equipment was of high standard. The settings for the boots and skis are found automatically by standing on one of the machines which are situated at the counter where you... more

I bought my boyfriend a voucher for 3 skiing lessons at the ChillFactore in Manchester at the cost £150. He booked the lessons on 3 consecutive Thursdays and was really looking forward to going. Unfortunately on the day of his first lesson he was too ill to attend. We phoned the ChillFactore that day to cancel and advise that he... more
