We've travelled Japan quite a bit and have been astounded by the mark that Kobo Daishi, also known as Kukai, the Founder of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, has made on the country. Our paths crossed continuously from one end of Japan to the other.
This little unassuming temple is the only temple in Japan to enshrine the sleeping effigy...
