We spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the start of May on a guided tour of the Burren with Tony. While the scenery is spectacular on its own Tony is a wealth of information on the local history, flora and fauna and all interesting facts related to the area. He even recited poetry along the way and made this a... More

Tony, what a fine gentleman, a true Irish genius with knowledge oozing out of every pore. It's a wonder my wife did not run away with him : ) He was so helpful, giving us advice and even speaks Italian - there were some Italian visitors who were very happy with him! Tony has a great way about him, the... More

Historian, Botanist, Archaeologist, Zoologist, Philosopher, Poet and more--that's Tony Kirby. My wife and I were greatly enriched by our walk in the Burren and appreciated Tony's knowledge, warmth, wit and helpfulness. He went the extra the mile in helping arrange our transportation. More

Like so many travellers before us, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tony Kirby in the Burren. He is courteous, knowledgeable, insightful. and humorous. We learned that the glaciers stripped this place of it's flesh and left the bones of limestone pavement behind. With Tony as your guide you will discover the hidden treasures of this beautiful, skeletal landscape. More

My husband and I had never been to Ireland before, and we knew we wanted to go from Cork to Galway. Having found reviews of Heart of Burren Walks, we figured a guided tour would be excellent. We were completely blown away, first by the one-of-a-kind beauty of the Burren, and then by the uplifting experience of Tony's tour. We... More

Took a walk in Clare recently with Tony Kirby. The walk took us to some of the hidden gems of the Burren. Tony has a unique insight into the historic, cultural, flora, fauna and other aspects of this amazing area. The walk progressed at a good pace and we managed to pack in plenty of sights over the few hours.... More

We went to the West of Ireland in search of the magical, St. Coleman's Well, which is nested beneath Eagle's Rock, in the heart of the Burren. One needs a guide to find such a place as this, and Tony proved to be that and more. With the wind and rain lashing at us along the way, Tony provided shelter... More

Nice to hear from the other members of the walk on that lovely day in February. Great way and possibly the only way to see the true Burren safely. As a result , I have already spent much too much time looking in the Annals of the Four Masters for references of St. Colman & “The Road of the Dishes”... More
