For a first timer to a distillery, the tour here is as good as any of the other big corporate distilleries. It's informative and the guides are helpful, but as with other Diageo distilleries, there is no photography allowed (they claim it is for safety reasons, but it seems to be more related to crowd control; other distilleries allow photography... The guide we had was brilliant - a really fun, and funny, chap - he definitely made the experience! One of the better distillery tours we've done. A lot of history to this place, and it's in a lovely part of the world. More

There was a fee associated with this tour. You get a souvenir pin and a small taste of the whisky. Photos are not allowed inside the distillery. A must visit if on the Isle of Skye. More

Visited April 5 2012. Very pleasant tour and fantastic whisky!! Tour was good value for £6, but not much serious tasting on this tour. Next time we would book for the more expensive but longer session, which for serious whisky lovers sounds fantastic. Lovely shop too! More

The tour cost £6 per person and included a small sample of talisker 10 before the tour. The tour group was a good size- not so large it was difficult to move around or hear the guide.
