This very European-style university in the heart of Tokyo is spacious and very attractive. I was there on a Sunday, so it was very quiet. Very attractive.

While I enjoyed spending a lot of my time here as a student, it's not as beautiful a tourist attraction as other top universities around the world, like Cambridge or Harvard. They have a nice pond and it might be fun to try out their dining hall to see what the smartest minds in Japan are like.

If you are a TODAI student or not, this Uni and
surrounding area, HONGO feel like you are back
in time.
Its cafeteria is quite cheap and has got variety of
dishes from set Lunch to Ramen noodles.
Fairly nice to walk inside, very quiet and surrounded by
nature even it's close to UENO.

Does the average tourist have a reason to go to Tokyo University? I guess not. But Todai is perhaps the most famous university in the country.
