Ginza is not as expensive as it appears to be. There are lots of brand name stores but if you look close enough there are bargains to be found as well. Recommend going on a Sunday as that is when they would block off the main road and make it a pedestrian area. More

The Edo Shogunate opened a mint office here in 1612, hence the name "gin-" (silver) "za" (locus). The main streets remain intact from the Edo era. I love going to Ginza on weekends. The streets are closed to traffic and the neon lights at night is what Tokyo is all about More

The streets are spotless. The stores are all high end designer houses. But the neighborhood is boring. Harajuku is way more interesting More

Channel, Prada, LVT, what else? you can find it there. Expensive place shops are there. Restaurants are excellent. More

Somewhere you have to go to see Tokyo night-life. Several large high end department stores with all the designer goods you could want. More
