The Park includes the 3 areas denominated “Sila Grande”, “Sila Piccola” and “Sila Greca”for a total of 73.695 hectares. Tourism within the National Park Of the Sila, is in continuous development through the touristic activities mainly bounded to the winter season and the fruition of the ski lifts . Many qualified services were born bounded to the vacation activities (trekking, orienteering, etc.).In the National Park of the Sila, there are two visiting centers functioning: the Visiting Center of “Cupone”, within the municipal of Spezzano della Sila (CS) and the Visiting Center of “Monaco”, within the municipal of Taverna (CZ). Observed from the point of view of the system of the touristic offer organized, the two centers that offer a major organization and a complete system of touristic services are the resorts of Lorica and Camigliatello Silano. Lorica also guests the offices of the National Park of the Sila and it is provided of important touristic structures and ski lifts, chair lifts. Furthermore, it is possible to benefit of two ski runs served of ski lift for skiing and, at the bottom of the ski lift, there’s a run for summer bob-sleighing. It’s certainly one of the most dynamical area with a moderate receptive capacity and a good equipment of sport structures. A few kilometers from Lorica you will find the pass of Carlomagno, where an important center for: cross-country skiing has been realized (from 2.5 km. Up to 7.5 k.m of length), skating, as well as a run of 10 km for amatory activities. At Villaggio Palumbo (Cotronei) the tourists can practice fishing sport and benefit o fan artificial run for bob of a kilometer that was created in steel in fact the slide is all made of steel (the first run of this material to be installed in Italy). Furthermore, the Village is provided of various ski runs (25 km) with its complementary services (two chair lifts, three ski lifts and 1 hand lift and a covered run for ice-skating.park of the Sila is aiming on the development of forms of locks of sustainable tourism.
