We spent 10 days cycling around Perigord. Aquitaine Bike were fantastic. Our bikes were dropped off at our hotel in the morning, and whilst we expected a little support, what we in fact received was an hour of highly insightful and detailed advice on the whole Perigord region, where to visit, which roads to use and which to avoid (too... This was my second time hiring a bike from Robert; the first time on the new Lapierre (and not the last). It's a sturdy yet supple ride and impressively responsive. Robert is passionate about cycling and the Dordogne. You can rely on him to map out the best route options, always taking full account of your tastes/needs.

Thanks to Aquitaine Bike, we just had one of our best holidays ever! Robert's routes and bikes were terrific. Following his "Classic Dordogne" tour, we saw few people and cars, yet took in many wonderful sites and gorgeous, peaceful countryside. The best possible combination for cycling. Don't miss Font du Gaume - just incredible. All the B&Bs (Ferme de Tayac,... More

It is about the bike, at least in part. The bikes were well maintained and worked flawlessly throughout our trip. But Aquitaine Bike is much more than a bike hire. Robert has planned out lovely routes with fascinating sites and excellent suggestions for accommodations. He's there for you while you're planning and doesn't harass you for a deposit. He arrives... The bikes were in top notch shape, Robert was very knowledgeable about the routes. He spent 20 minutes highlighting the best routes on a map he provided. We hired the high end road bikes and did over 250km in 6 days of the most amazing biking roads. He proved a floor pump, extra tire and tools... it's the complete solution.... More

Robert was very knowledgeable about the bikes he hired and also about the area. He made sure that we were fully equipped with spares and maps etc and nothing seemed too much trouble. He offered some valuable advice. Would most definitely recommend using this company..10/10

We (a group of three 25 year old girls) rented bikes from Robert at Aquitaine Bikes for 5 days and the whole experience was fantastic. The perigord region of France is perfect for touring on a bicycle: some hills for a bit of a challenge (but nothing too difficult!); beautiful countryside; gorgeous rivers to dip your toe into when feeling... We found Aquitaine Bikes on Tripadvisor and contacted Robert telephonically, as we didn't know the Dordogne area at all. He was most helpful with advice and suggested a route with not too many hills but plenty of interesting places to see on the way. Robert delivered the bikes in Les Eyzies and spent time telling us about the history of... More

We have toured by bicycle before and have learned that while enjoying the sites is easy your trip is truly enjoyable if your rental company is supportive, knowledgeable and reliable. Aquitaine Bike Company not only offered all three of these components but Robert was a delight to chat with, we were sorry to have to leave the bikes with him... More

This was the first ever bicycle trip for my wife and I and was likely one of the best vacations we've ever had, despite the rain, wind, and cold (it was April). The service and bikes we got from Robert played a huge role in making our trip relaxing and enjoyable. I can't imagine that better service would be possible,... More
