- RH SKingwood, Texas96 contributionsGreat way to celebrate a unique geographical marker. What a great way to celebrate this unique marker where 3 countries intersect. Who would think a pole coming out of the ground would draw so much attention? But there it is, people lining up for a funny moment where you can shuffle between 3 countries in a just one second, or lay across and be in all 3 at once. Then the way each country was adorned with food and souveniers specific to their country is really cool. A nice Tower lets you see each country at quite a distance. And there’s more to do than just that. This is worth a stop, and it’s worth a beer.Visited August 2022Written 5 May 2023
- ReneHo Chi Minh City, Vietnam55 contributionsWorth visiting when they renovate the floor and clean the tower upstairs. The people in the first restaurant friendly and very service minded. The whole ambiance good. The dog in the ticket office for the tower too sweet but the owner of the dog can use a lesson in friendliness and customer service. Your I-pad got more attention than the customers who paid 4 euro to get on a very dirty platform upstairs with broken floor.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 May 2023
- empathologyRotterdam, The Netherlands513 contributionsFor completists onlyA very touristy place built around 3 countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany) meeting at a single point and also the highest point in the flat country of The Netherlands. Once you've seen these 2 points (and jostled with others for a photo), the rest is cafes & bars. There's a maze (labyrinth) if that takes your fancy and a tower to overlook the (rather bland) countryside) - both chargeable. And as others have said, the car park on the Dutch side needs 3 Euros from a debit card (the Dutch don't really do credit cards). If you're in the area, make it a pitstop for lunch or coffee. But don't go far out of your way for this one.Visited July 2023Written 16 July 2023
- Ryan94 contributionsMust seeIt is a mortal sin to visit zuid limburg without seeing Drielandenpunt. Park for free at the first tower (Wilhelmina), get up there and see the view. Leave the car there and walk to drielandenpunt, take a picture at the tourist "monument with the 3 poles", then the real 3 landen punt pole with the 3 flags a bit further, try the labyrinth (takes about 30-60 minutes) and head back to your car.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2023
- Thomas & NicoleAlmere, The Netherlands12 contributionsNice to visit if you are in the areaThe three-country point in itself is not too exciting. In short it’s a stone about 3ft tall surrounded by three areas/boxes representing the three different countries. That’s it. Very little to no information regarding the history or the like. On the plus side: there is a labyrinth and some hiking routes you can do. Parking is €3, but the ‘attraction’ is free of charge.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 December 2023
- WWW-Wanderlust1,112 contributionsThe Vaalserberg / 3 Country Point has more on offer, also a good place for nice walks! At the Drielandenpunt (Three-country point or Tripoint), where Belgium, Germany and Netherlands meet, you can visit 3 countries in one go! Until 2010, the Vaalserberg was the highest point in the Netherlands (322 meter). However, Mount Scenery on the island of Saba which is in Caribbean parts of the Netherlands has become the highest point (887 meter) in the Kingdom of the Netherlands after the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010. For almost 100 years, the tripoint was actually a quadripoint, including Moresnet. Neutral Moresnet existed between and 1816 and 1918 and the result of negotiations at the Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) where the borders of Europe were redrawn after Napoleon had been defeated. The Prussian Kingdom and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (that included Belgium at that time) failed to reach an agreement on the borders in the region around Moresnet. This was mainly because of an important zinc spar mine that was located there. As a compromise, the mine and the nearby village of Kelmis became neutral territory, under joint administration. We enjoyed a great walk on the Vaaslerberg and crossed from the Netherlands into Belgium and Germany serveral times. However, there is more to see and do, including many picture opportunities. There are two viewing towers, the Wilhelmina Tower (NL) and Boudewijn Tower (BE) and a few restaurants, souvenir shop and largest maze on offer in Europe. Parking is cheap. For those enjoying a drink or something to eat, you can park for free at the Wilhelminatoren and Bokkerijder restaurants who both offer a good-size car parks. There are two more car parks on the Dutch side. You need to buy a special parking coin to leave car park and pay 3 Euro for parking. The car park on the Belgium side charges 2.50 for the day and upon arrival you can pay by card.Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 March 2024

This is the point where the German, Dutch, and Belgian borders meet (before WW I, there was a fourth territory, Neutral Moresnet, that met here as well). Fun for a quick stop--but it could easily be a longer trip if you like hiking as there are a lot of nice trails. With open borders within Europe, this is an easy place to visit, though the old customs shelter is used as a place to get your parking token. Parking was ok, but watch the roads--they are narrow and some are one way. The one issue with parking was trying to get a token--the machine did not work well.

We want to visit Drielandenpunt from Aachen at some Saturday, and know that there is bus 350 and 159 for the journey.
But we don't have OV card or Eurogio one-day ticket. Anyone know that bus 350 and 159 accept payment by coins or credit card?

Hi, maybe this tip will help (I may not send you a link/URL) Search for line 350 on wiki.ovinnederland.nl/ Lijn_350_Maastricht_Station_-_Aachen_Bushof.
An OV-card you must have, it seems. Or daytickets or a E-ticket can be bought through the company Arriva (answer on 4th June 2019).
