Did the Big Tonga trip which goes to the Big Tonga Marine reserve, was great. Saw lots & lots of baby seals and their mothers on the rocks and swimming around. Had a great little group and our guide was great! (Hiro, sp? Dutch/NZ guy). He was very nice and helpful and great at pointing things out and answering questions.... More

First off, let me say that planning the trip over the phone and via email with Joy Woodward was an absolute pleasure. Our guide was friendly but our trip could have been enhanced had she been more knowledgeable and focused on us. During our trip, she asked us about the cost of plane fares to our country and housing options... More

Check out the Big Tonga and you won't be disappointed! Our guide Jacinda (JJ to us) showed us the best parts of Abel Tasman National Park. Highlights: seal sightings, exploring river-like inlets, tasty lunch including hot cocoa, time for a quick swim and kayak sailing back into the beach. This is the best way to see the park and experience... More

We took the day long Royale With Cheese kayaking trip that covers over 18km. It was an amazing day, even with arms that hurt for days after! Breathtaking views, fur seals close enough to smell them, picnic lunch, lovely little group, the works. Would definitely do it again, but the only thing I would like to point out is that... More

Kaiteriteri kayaks made planning my trip fairly brainless as I didn't have to worry about anything much, things just happened. They can organise transport to the park, luggage transport, camping gear rental, hut passes. The trip itself was fun, the guide pleasant although not particularly talkative that day - it was a bit tricky as 6 of the 8 of... More

I registered for the Tonga Island trip, but when I arrived, I was told that I would be taking the Cheese Royal (or something like that) instead due to a cancellation. No one thought to call me before I took the one hour bus trip to the kayaking center to give me a chance to re-book with another group, so... More

We were upgraded from the Big Cheese tour to the Big Tonga and were so happy to have this change as we managed to spend the day kayaking about in the areas that the baby and mother seals were playing for most of the day. We had a great day, early start in the sunshine with a water taxi and... More

KAITERITERI KAYAKS offers several activities of which we chose the BIG TONGA Marine Reserve at the Abel Tasman National Park of New Zealand's South Island. It was a full day trip beginning with instructions on the beach and a review of the equipment. An Aqua Taxi transported us to Onetahuti Beach where we took off in the kayaks for our... More
