We have been visitors to Tropiquaria over many years and still love going there. Whilst the outside may look somewhat strange, an old radio station, inside all the animals are well tended and cared for. There are great play areas for children both inside and out, the pirate ships are definitely popular with the youngsters. It's always good if you... More

When we first arrived in the car park we nearly drove away as the outside looks so shabby. The lady who took our money was very friendly and welcoming and gave the boys a quiz which kept them occupied in finding out the answers. As we had our 5 year old with us we went straight to the toilet (just... More

Wasn't expecting too much & we had a great time, all the animals were awake & active, the staff were really friendly & happy to work there. Adam was our favourite & we were lucky enough to watch him feed the snakes. Learnt some interesting facts & the staff were really knowledgable. Would recommend More

Plenty to see inside if it's wet and even more outside if it's not. Nicely presented, even oportunities for some hands-on. Just a little expensive but the upkeep on a place like this must be great. Worth a visit More

We took our 2 year old son here today and he loved it! The pirate ship was fantastic along with the indoor play areas. The puppet show was very entertaining our 2 year old was glued! The entrance fee was particually high but was greatful to be entitled to a student discount. All the food in the cafe was reasonably... More

We visited here while staying in Butlins. When you arrive, you do have to do a double-check that you're in the right place. While this isn't their fault, I think they could make it a bit more inviting. Maybe get some "fancy" signs put up in the car-park or something. Maybe they did already, but I didn't see them. Pricing:... More

Entrance is quite steep and uneven so be careful with elderly. When we visited a lot of the exhibits were under construction or refurbishment, no reduction on entrance fee (which I felt was quite high - £9 for adults) and we weren't given that information until after we'd paid. The food was of average value and quality, parts of the... More

This reviewer may not be aware but the UK is entering a double dip recession and several tourist attractions have closed, or are in the process of closing. Tropiquaria has taken on some of the animals from these establishments and is currently building to improve the animals accommodation. There is in fact one building area, which should be completed shortly.... More

Been to Tropiquaria many times and going today to get an annual pass for myself and my son, Charlie (9), so we can now go all the time. It's only about £55 for both of us for a year so if you visit more than a couple of times then that's the way to go. Lovely wildlife inside and out,... More

I'm astonished it's still open! Feels unfinished and tacky. A shame as there's lots of potential. No wouldnt go again. More

I am a little surprised if this reviewer feels so upset by Tropiquaria that she is not more specific other than to use the expressions "tacky and unfinished". At present the UK had entered into an official recession again. As a result of this several attractions that have animals have had to close. Tropiquaria has taken some of those animals,... More
