This is an interesting little place to visit. It won't take you long to walk round but it does give a interesting insight into the life of the monks. Such a shame Henry VIII insisted it be torn down. I bet it was glorious in its heyday! Well worth a visit if you've got a couple of hours to spare.

Good staf at reception,ruins well worth a look.The grounds were very well kept and the admission costs weregreat value for a family of four.Will go again

This abbey makes a wonderful half-day visit. It bring the life and living of the Monks alive. We took my 91 year old mother with us and the staff made her and us so welcome.
