We went to this French historical theme park with our two sons (9 & 11) in August 2011 and it is as amazing as people say. I'm not a big fan of theme parks generally but this one was great. The big difference for me was that it was pleasant to walk around and despite the fact it was a... More

The best historical theme park. Great shows - gladiators, Vikings. Visited it every year for nearly 20 years. Slight criticism - it's becoming a bit Disneyesque. More

We had been to Le Puy du Fou 13 years ago and I had a souvenir of a nice little amusement park without pretension. But wow! what a surprise! They now have huge shows which will always surprise you when you are not expecting it! Great park! You'll never be able to do everything in a single day. Two days... More

GO HERE, GO HERE, GO HERE! I can not emphasize enough how awesome this place is. We loved it, our 6 year-old daughter loved it. We don't speak any French, but we still loved it. You can get a translation box for the main shows, but even without that, the visuals are awesome! The 3 Muskateers show was so beautiful... More

You need to get there early to get around to all of the attractions. You need to be reasonably fit too as it's quite a stiff walk between them and you need to be in the queue early. The bnirds are a must. I originally thought that it would be two or three people flying hawks so be prepared for... More

We have visited le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou a number of times the latest 2011 It is had to describe this attraction part educational , part theme park There are no rides just a number of sites where a show is put on ranging from Vikings to gladiators. By far the best however is the birds of prey... More

We hold season passes for the Puy du Fou, being lucky enough to live close by, it is the best day out for all the family bar none, and has won a well deserved award for being the best live action theme park in the world. You can see everything in one day, but it may betiring for younger children,... More

We stay in France a lot and this extraordinary attraction could only happen somewhere between the Vendee coast and the Loire. Only in France. Friends had visited numerous times and recommended Put du Fou to death. Some had even bought a season ticket...two years running. A bored daughter, desperate for an excitement rush in our sleepy village, persuaded us. Compared... More

Get there early - it is hard to see everything in one day. Try to see the main attractions by picking up a timed programme and working out how to get from one show to another. Be prepared to have a tiring day with a fair amount of walking - but well worth it ! If you are in the... More

This you cannot miss! Where else are you going to have vultures flying 30cm above your head and not be worried about what's on the menu? You can't hope to do justice to describing a day at Puy Du Fou, but I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. Wear comfortable shoes, plan your day when you get your timetable, be prepared... More
