I went to Kirkley Hall Zoo after purchasing a discount voucher from Living Social. I didn't expect too much as their website was very limited, but was really surprised when we got there. They have a wide selection of animals and my son loved getting up close to the reptiles & creepy crawlies. The staff were all really friendly and... More

We took our 6 year old son, 5 friends and 7 adults for a brilliant birthday visit. The party arrangements and detail were flawless. We booked the lemur feeding experience which was worth every penny as it gave the kids the chance to prepare fruit then get up close and personal and feed lemurs with their babies clinging to them.... Three 30-year olds with zero kids in tow visited today & spent 2 1/2 hours at the zoo alone. Unfortunately we did not have time to see the other areas (play-park, obelisk, walks) but did have a cup of tea in the cafe. We enjoyed the zoo immensely! We were aware that it was not London Zoo so knew it... More

I had my first visit to the zooloigal gardens with 2 small helpers (aged 3 and 9 months) and their parents on Easter Monday. Plus points were getting to see the animals being fed and being able to handle the rabbits, not so good was the 11am interactive session being full and not on again til 2.30 and the general... More

We have just returned home after having a fantastic day at Kirkley Hall. The zoological park is very well run and packed with a good variety of animals housed in well set out enclosures. The staff and volunteers are great, being friendly, helpful and informative. The reasonable entrance fee is well worth it. My daughter had been given a meerkat... More

Went there today using a Living Social voucher we'd purchased and glad we hadn't paid full price. It's a working campus of Northumberland College (which is why it's only open to public on weekends or school holidays) and campus is pretty grubby. We could've done it all in an hour to be honest. The goats are super cute, but the... More
