It's fascinating to watch wool go from fleece to blanket - with minimal human intervention. The entire machine - which takes up the whole building - is powered by water. You can go down and look at the wheel. Amazing place for kids and adults alike. Nice shop and tea shop. There are some interesting hikes up behind the mill,... More

Many thanks for recommending us. Our hydro-electric turbine will not be running for about a month while the pipe which supplies it is lined to repair the damage done in winter 2010/11. More

Thank you for visiting the mill and placing a review on TripAdvisor. As the report was placed in January we wondered if you visited recently and would like to point out that there is much more to see April - October i.e top two floors of mill museum with carding engines, spinning mule, warping mill etc and also the Weaver's... It was worth a visit. Parking at the mill is terrible, though. Prices asked for the mill's shop are very steep and a turn-off. Sadly the mill shop stocks and sells times mainly from non-Welsh companies. More

Thank you for your comments and for visiting us. Yes, there is limited parking space outside the mill but there is a free public car park opposite, signposted. We agree that our products are not cheap, but this reflects the fact that they are manufactured on site from the raw wool. Re. the sourcing of other goods in our shop.... More

As well as seeing the weaving the shopping here was excellent, not at all old fashioned but some really lovely thing made in a traditional way. More

You'll take a very pretty ride to come to this store, maybe 20 minutes from Conwyand Llandudno, well worth the trip. You can tour the mills, have a cup of tea or snack in the tea shop, but the highlight is the shop itself. Beautiful woolens from the mill, ranging from readymade skirts and tops, skirt-lengths of beautiful tweeds, complete... More

The mill could have been much better, we were not offered a tour, the shop is very very expensive and there is no parking. The mill itself is very intresting. More

Apologies for the delay in responding - I missed the Trip Advisor alert and have only just read your review. We are sorry you were disappointed with your visit and have passed your comments on to our staff. The free mill tour is self conducted but we supply a printed guide if you ask in the shop. Very informative, self guided tour showing the wool's journey from sheep to shop. Take the time to read all the information and chat to the guys working the machinery. Being an engineer I happily spent half a day watching the machines and checking out the original blueprints for the hydro-electric plant. Then, being a girl I spent ages in the... More
