This would have an excellent rating, if the water wasn't quite so chilly there in the summer. Other than that, it is a wonderful hidden gem of a beach on the South/Western Shore of NS.

Beautiful white sand beach - feels like powder under your feet. Beware though, the water is very cold - even in the middle of summer. There aren't any restaurants close by, so you'd better pack a lunch and enjoy a full and relaxing day with very few people around you.

If you are travelling along the # 103 hwy between Liverpool and Shelburne you should stop along this area and walk the beach, there is a beautiful hotel/motel overlooking this beach and a very nice restaurant to eat and enjoy the view. The beach is good for swimming but can be somewhat cool in the summer so be brave. there...

We LOVE Summerville Beach, and can't wait to go back next summer!
The beach goes on forever, the water is shallow enough for the kids to venture out far and still be only up to their knees, and there are HUGE waves for the older kids and adults to play in! Picnic benches up by the parking area are handy,...
