this is a fab wee place. It is well worth the extra money to feed the limas, they even take the food out of your hand and you can stroke them :) More

Have been before and enjoyed the visit as it is more compact and family friendly than many of it's larger contemporaries. We had noticed the zookeeper for the day offer which my daughter was keen to do. We organised it for her 12th birthday recently and booked it via the phone. The staff were very helpful in giving advice (U16... More

We have just returned from a visit with our 16 month old daughter. We had a lovely time and you can get really close to the animals in a way you sometimes can't in larger zoos. There was a good variety of things to see and the meerekats were a particular favourite. It is not too big so our little... More

I have been to this zoo so many times I have lost count, with my partner and friends with children. Everyone I have gone with loves it as much as I do. You see more animals/birds at this zoo than any of the other major zoos. It's small and getting bigger and has such a wide variety of animals, birds... More

Thank you for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed your visit to the Zoo - we do appreciate that the Zoo needs a good tidy up...the bear enclosure is nearly complete and we will be turning our attention to the Zoo and tidying everything up very soon. Hope to see you back in the better weather. More

Although you can get up close to the animals which is good, part of the areas were a bit run down and looked like they needed a good tidy up. More

Thanks for your comments about the Zoo - glad you enjoyed seeing the animals and we appreciate your comments about bits being run down. We have been concentrating our efforts over the winter to raise the £80,000 to rescue the circus bears and build their enclosure but now have a schedule in place for painting/tidying up the Zoo. We hope... More

A small zoo park with a great selection of animals. The kids had a great time and they especially loved the meerkats, the snakes and lizards in the reptile house and the parrot that says hello. The zoo was laid out really well with clear signs and info about the animals. There was a tearoom but we did not go... More

Thanks for your comments about the Zoo - we are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit and we hope to announce an arrival date soon for the bears! We take your point about the play area being included, by not includng it we were simply hoping to allow a degree of flexibility for those not wishing to there. More

Visited once as a treat for grandson and wish I hadn't bothered. Not much to see really and he was more impressed with the soft play area adjacent to the zoo. More
