We started our journey from Matsumoto, taking the Oito line rapid train to Shinano-omachi. The train is available almost every 30-60min and only takes about 40 min. Shinano Omachi is a quiet town, with only a few shops near the train station. It may be a good idea to eat at Matsumoto prior to going to Shinanoomachi. Once you get...
