The National Pass bushwalk is awesome! It is rated "hard", but apart from the steep steps cut into the cliff face at the start (Wentworth Falls end), our group of 4 x 50+ yr olds found it quite a comfortable walk. This is not a walk for the feint hearted. It is strenuous but very rewarding. It is also an engineering feat in itself. The trail hugs the cliff face, in most places half way up! So you really are walking along a ledge, although very well secured and safe. Great view after view, and if there's been some rain, waterfalls...

Awesome hike if you have 4 hours and are in reasonably good shape. If you're looking for another like this consider the Grand Canyon hike.

My wife and I just walked the National Pass track from Wentworth Falls. Took us 2.5 hrs and involved a lot of steps but the scenery as you walk along the edge of cliff faces about 200m above the valley is just breathtaking. The National Pass at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains is arguably the most spectacular and exhilarating walking tail in Australia.
