Newer areas unattractive and a bit run down, older areas better. Infrastructure of many of the lifts needs upgrading, didn't cope well with busy periods.
Pistes good for intermediates / beginners

Chalet Hotel Serre Ratier, is in a fantastic position on the slopes and with a great sunny terrace. However the owner / manageress made our stay there at best unpleasant. She was persistently aggressive towards the children shouting and grabbing...

Great terrain for skiers and snowboarders alike and a mix of tress and open mountain to cater for all conditions. The lift network is really great and the lift/mountain staff are super friendly.
Good off piste entertainment too with plenty of good restaurants and bars.
It's good for a trip to Briancon too if you take a day off the...

I got there a week ago, not knowing anything about skiing, not even how to put on my shoes!
I discovered a vast and charmful place from that cute "Chalet52" residence I stayed in.
The mountain is stunning, and it's been a real pleasure to learn with my dedicated teacher Manuel...
I can't wait until next year!
