Very friendly staff and in a lovely location. Excellent meals in the restaurant and nice atmosphere.
The cycle tracks around the lake are a challenge but a worthwhile one.

We stayed in a lodge and had a fantastic week despite of the weather. Brilliant walking. Excellent mountain biking (use the bike place if you are hiring a bike). Brilliant part of unspoilt north east England
