This place is a monument in the Nazi invasion of Poland and the cruelty that took place following the invasion. Very important to see for people to undersand what really happened on Polish land during II WW and how helpless people were. Please visit if you can as it is much more personable to Oświęcim/Auschwitz. More

Email ahead and arrange a tour guide in your language. They are very accommodating. Visiting a concentration camp may not seem an attractive part of a vacation. I am so glad that I made the effort. I took a bus from Gdansk to Sztutowo. I do not speak Polish. The driver let me off near the entrance and it was... More

Stutthof (Sztutowo) is a really touching experience. I have never visited a lager before and I was impressed. I would suggest anybody to go there if in Gdansk for few days. You can take the bus from the Glowny Bus Station in Gdansk and in 1 h 15' you will reach the place (with only 28 zl return ticket). The... More

We found our guide by searching on Tours By Locals. Our guide, Anna Perz, was amazing and we would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn more about the history, art and architecture of Poland. Our day started with a drive through small villages to Stutthof concentration camp where we had an insiders view into the suffering of... More

We visited as a group of 8 (4 adults & 4 childeren aged 12 to 16) & found it a fascinating & moving experience. I would thoroughly recommend hiring a guide though as the majority of exhibits are in Polish & not English. The cost of hiring a guide was about £30. Our guide was an ex concentration camp survivor,... More

Stutthof was the first Nazi camp built outside of Germany and it was the last camp liberated by the Soviet Army on May 10, 1945. It has the original gate, a small gas chamber, crematorium, and original boxcars that carried people to the camp. You can go inside some of the barracks and see mounds of shoes from the victims....
