Bar Ice is Samui’s ultimate chill-out destination, and offers an exhilarating atmosphere and an antidote to the hot and humid, outdoor temperature. A truly unforgettable experience, the walls, bar, sculptures and seats are made entirely of ice. Even the glasses you drink from. A veritable museum with an incredible array of ice-art. Party till you drop, relax in the life-size sculpted ice tuk-tuk or admire the incredible art. The Choice is yours. The bar resonates with music throughout the night, from relaxing tunes and beats early on, to the latest vibes and sounds into the early hours. The entire space is backlit by an atmospheric LED lighting system that provides the full colour spectrum. From ghostly blues and vivid greens to fiery reds and stimulating oranges, Bar Ice takes on a new mood with every colour change. « less

as an expat living in samui the icebar lacks the atmosphere of old but is still worth dropping by for an hour to experience the ice bar itself whereby you don a big parka and hat and gloves grab your cameras and snap away whilst sipping a shot or cocktail served in a glass made of ice you have to... You would never think to go to an Ice Bar in Koh Samui where the sun shines all year round. But why not? It is something different but worth the visit but DON'T forget your camera. We picked up the free bus that was circulating the town (good idea) and paid an entrance fee to gain access to the refrigerated... More

A long walk from the main strip, signs say 500m and it is a lot longer than that - especially in the rain! We then paid 1,000 Baht for entry, a key ring, magnet, t-shirt and 2 free cocktails which I thought was the best deal. Walked in to see 3 ice sculptures, drinks were average. Met a Canadian couple... Hello Nicole S. Its unfortunate that you were disappointed with your visit. Its extremely frustrating that 10s of thousands of visitors who have a great time never seem to write any reviews and the few that don't enjoy it do. Much if it is timing of course and if any bar is not busy at the time of your visit,... More

We where on Koh Samui just after peak season and is was really quiet along Chaweng beach, so we hoped to see a bit more people in this bar. When we arrived the garden and lounge was completly empty and the part we could see from the ice bar was empty too. We explained to the guy in charge that... More

I will investigate the un friendliness. You are not the only person to turn up and not go in and no one is under any obligation. Staff are not allowed to give any customer free entry. they do have authority to offer additional drinks to larger groups. But thats all. if you visited early it most likely was quiet ,... More

A Must on Koh ! Just tell them the Black and Filipino girl sent you and say Indiana, California. They will laugh. Then you will have the time of your life (on ice that is!) Cheers!

We spent the last two weeks in November in Thailand and we'd had a lot of recommendations about Bar Ice before we arrived. It close to all the other bars and if your feeling extra lazy (like we did one evening) you can hop on a shuttle bus which drives around the resort all evening and drops you outside. We... More

I had an ace time at Bar Ice... Didn't expect to be finding an ice bar in Thailand but after seeing all the adverts for it thought would give it a go... And so glad I did!! The staff so nice and freindly, really looked after me and made me feel very welcome. It's in a convenient location and even... More

We had this bar marked a thing to do from when we first arrived in Samui as it was so unusual. We got a short taxi ride from Chaweng and paid THB500 to go inside. That included two drinks from the lounge bar (normal temperature) or inside the Bar Ice. You are given furry hats with ear muffs, gloves and... More
