This is one of the most expensive, and also one of the most re-modelled museums - now isn't that a contradiction in terms? A tourist trap of note. Don't bother! Just make sure you get to the Apartheid Museum. More

This museum is, literally, his house, adorned with honorary degrees that Mandela doesn't actually care about. There is no history of what he did, or what happened in the house. Mandela House (Entrance fee R60) located also in Soweto was Nelson Mandela's first true home with his second wife Winnie. Modest, filled with history. Nice picture of Mandela surrounded by his girls - wife, daughters and granddaughter! More
