My sister and I walked about 2 miles along the gorge on the West Rim Trail. It was a beautiful, yet quiet, walk. There were a lot of rocks so I wouldn't recommend a stroller or small children. There are no fences along the gorge either so hikers should be aware of that before bringing young daredevils along for the... More

As you walk across a bridge that towers over the deep gorge with a beautiful river flowing through it, a great attraction for all ages. A great destination after eating a pallet pleasing meal at Orlando's off El Prado. More

Enjoyed a fabulous 2-day outing on the Rio Grande with NMRA. One day white water rafting and one day paddle boarding. Both completely different from each other and both fullfilling in adventure. Great food and service from this outfit. Super guides. More

We tried the new company in town, New Mexico River Adventures, and though they are new, they are super experienced and have it down pat! From a nice new office with excellent facilities where you have orientation, to the actual raft trip with a fun, experienced and personable guide, to the tasty lunch - can't wait to go back next... If you are in Taos this is worth a quick look. Its a few miles drive outside of town but the views from the bridge that spans the gorge over the Rio Grande are wonderful. There is a rest stop where one can park and walk over to the bridge. You can walk across the bridge on sidewalks so you... More

One can drive across the bridge or park nearby and walk across. It can get very windy, so be careful. More

We didn't want to get stuck on the river for the whole day so the half day Biking and half day Kayaking was the perfect combo option. The Native Sons Adventures guide was Alex who was very good and patient at settling into a pace that we could comfortably follow, both on the bikes and in the kayak. Biking through... More

This is a worthwhile side trip worth very near Taos. Don’t be surprised if you feel a little (or a lot) of vertigo walking across the bridge though. It really is an awe inspiring view into the Rio Grande gorge from a dizzying height. But even those with Acrophobia, you can make it to the middle by staying close to... More

My husband and the boys went on the Racecourse rafting trip down the Rio Grande between Taos and Espanola New Mexico and thoroughly enjoyed it! New Wave Rafting was great. We booked last minute and had no problem getting a ride. Ask for Joe!! More
