I stayed with friends in PR but stayed after they left. I came here since I was visiting family in Hatillo/Arecibo. I have been to Las Cuevas de Camuy a few times & am always amazed with the size of the caves. The ride down is fairly steep but adds to the adventure. The most amazing thing is the height... More

We went to see the caverns, and was not disappointed! It's an amazing wonder, lots of walking, pleasure for nature lovers. Fee for entering, limited to a certain number of visitors per day, and need to take a mini train-tram down to the cave (very narrow path!) Audio tour included, in conjunction with tour guide who does the tour in... More

This is something that has to be done and has to be seen while you're in Puerto Rico. This is a miracle of the nature in the middle of the humans. It is frightening and at the same time impressing how these caves have formed there and how it looks like they have their own world and life from inside... More

If your in Puerto Rico you owe it to yourself to visit the caves at Rio Camuy National Park. This is a truly astounding site. The experience is professionally presented and the cavern is awe inspiring. Be prepared to be on your feet for over an hour and wear good rubber soles as the pathways can be very slippery. If... We had a bit of an adventure getting to the park. We came from the West on Rt 2. Looking at the map, we opted for the more direct route from Rt 2 which was to take 113, and then 119, and then several smaller roads. While we got there safe and sound, some of us were carsick from driving... More

We visited the Caves after a stop at Arecibo Observatory. It was late in the day, and I was afraid that we had lost the light for photography. To my delight, the late afternoon sun was perfect for illuminating the cave entrance and we got some great shots. The cave is not the most interesting that I've been to, but... More

Try to arrive early! Otherwise you'll be waiting a LONG time. That being said, I think this rather short trip is still very worthwhile. The flowstone, columns, stalactites & stalagmites, are truly amazing, and the cave is open at both ends, so it's never completely dark. We liked the tour well enough, but it left us hungry for more. A... More

We went to the cave on a rainy day, thinking that we would be inside and out of the rain. The first problem was that on a rainy day, hardly anyone was there, and they made us wait about an hour for more people to show up to make it worth their while for a tour. The second problem was... More

Let me start by saying the caves were awesome. My wife and I traveled to the caverns on a Saturday morning we arrived at 10am and waited about 45 minutes to tour the caves. You must go early or otherwise forget it because after we arrived there must have been 150 waiting to get in and with 30 people per... More

My wife & I had to cancel our tour of the caverns right before the trolley left. The staff was very accommodating with a full refund and directions to our next destination. We missed out this time around, but will make a stop on our next trip to PR! Special thanks to Mr. Serrano and Maria for putting us #1. More
