This Buddha worth having a look at...while in Thailand you will see more than your fair share of temples and Buddha images, but this site is pretty cool and definitely worth a look. The best way to see the Buddha is by renting a moped and taking it to the top- this road is not for beginner moped drivers though,... More

Located not so far from town, on quite high hill, make this landmark is easily seen. Way up to hill is quite far from main road, but you'll get spectacular view on your way. No admission! It's free. Although you also can donate some money to Big Budha completion, yes it hasn't finished yet. View point from above is really... More

Soon as you are on the road to the south end of Phuket, look up at mountain and the statue of Buddha is there, when visiting, attire for everyone cover your knees, and women a tshirt out of respect for Buddhism. Great panoramic view from the mountain More

A must see for any tourist. The views are spectacular if not cloudy. To visit is for free! Can you believe it? Bring loose change if you want to donate to their many donation boxes. Very sacred religious place. Women must be prepared to wear a sarong over their shoulders that is provided (for FREE). There are some tourist souvenirs... More

The best way of getting up to the Big Buddha would have to be on a motorbike! There are some fantastic places to stop at on the way up or down. Its an easy ride, although you will have to be careful and travel slowly on the wat down if wet. Still safe, just don't ride like a dork. Enjoy... More

Hire a motorbike and make your way up there. The Budha by itself is impressive, the view (if it's not hazy) is awesome. More

Really large monument - over 45m tall. Beautiful one!!! More beutiful are views from there for Phuket, specially from viewing point. The attraction itself is riding to the top of the hill where the Buddha is located. Very steep road, that you can't believe that tuk-tuk can make it. Small temple with monks, dozens of Buddha statues and great place... More
