We ate at the restaurant and hiked around the pond. Nice groomed trail for the first half of the hike (starting to the right) which was a fortunate choice. The second half of the hike included scrambling over boulders which would have deterred me from doing the entire hike if I had encountered them at the start of the trip.... more

Jorden pond is one of the parks most scinic and popular areas. get here early if you want a parking space! the area gives good acess to hiking trails and carrage roads as well as boating on the lake. My favorate hike here is the Jorden Pond Trail witch circles the whole pond in 3.5 miles a nice easy flat... more

Jordan Pond is a very pretty lake. But, arrive here early because the parking lots fill up quickly. From the North Lot, there is a very nice nature trail that is an easy one mile round trip. We came to Jordon Pond on our last day there and it was the best stop. The pond was beautiful, the food was terrific and it had a great "Maine" feel. Its a must for anyone travelling to Mt Desert Island. more
