We did this as a 4-5 mile loop. Mostly it is beautiful forest and rocks. Definitely some vistas of lakes, etc - with the best part being the beech cliffs area (which is not that far from the parking lot).

We stumbled onto this trail and were very happy we found it. The trail is about 1.3 miles and is considered a "moderate" hike. There are some steady climbs, but there are so many places to stop and look at the sights that you get time to rest. The views of Long Pond and (I think) Echo Lake are phenomenal....
