I hiked this trail from Sand Beach and the views were gorgeous. There is a little climbing on the sea cliffs, but there are beautiful views of sand beach, the beehive,etc. It is a short hike also. Don't miss it. A must do! more

The Great Head Trail is magnificent. Scrambling up the pink granite rock is well worth the effort to enjoy the vistas and the topographically interesting trail. I hiked the Great Head trail with my wife and three kids and we all very much enjoyed the trail. Even my three year old son had no problem negotiating the trail. The views are spectacular and climbing up the rocks on the trail is great fun for kids and adults alike. Plan to do this hike while in Acadia. more
