Me and my boyfriend had a weekend getaway in Gatlinburg. We stopped here at the visitors center cause we didn't know alot about the trails. We stopped here and got a free map which was great and $1.00 for a detailed trail map. We asks the staff for the closet waterfall. They showed us to the trail and we found... more

only living about 45 minutes away, I come to the smokies quite often, this is one of my favorite places to visit. The day is not complete without a stop to the sugarlands visitor center. The gift shop is wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful. I could spend hours in that shop and the nice thing about it... more

I highly reccomend stopping at this visitor center and seeing the movie. It is only 20 minutes long. There are also some great exhibits on nature in the park and a great gift shop. Also, some helpful staff that give you recommendations based on the time you have in the park. There is also a cool 3D map of the... more

We stopped here first to get a map, and we were rewarded with much more than we expected. The rangers warned us to leave as soon as possible since we planned on visiting Cades Cove.
