On the way to Roaring Fork motor trail. Love the feeling there mostly when I have the place to myself right before dark. There is also a nice nature trail behind the cabin.

We love Roaring Fork Nature Trail and this is a great piece of history in the park. Just a short trip from Gatlinburg, this cabin gives you insight to what life was like before the National Park. Very interesting and enjoyable--just a short hike to see it

Stop here before going on the one way, Cherokee Orchard-Roaring Fork Motor trail and if you physically able.....take the trail to the right of the cabin and stroll along the old farm. It takes you through the woods and along the creek where you will see the old mill, after this you will start up the mountain for a ways...

We're reminded of long ago days when we visit the Ogle Cabin. The fact that this piece of history has been preserved brings us great joy. We have visited during every season of the year and it's always a treat.

I was a bit surprised to see the Noah "Bud" Ogle Place on the TripAdvisor list of attractions for Gatlinburg, especially since no other parts of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are listed.
