Drove through this motor nature trail. Really nice scenery outside of Gatlinburg busy drag. Some areas can get VERY crowded to the point where you can barely squeeze through due to cars parked up and down the road.

This is a very beautiful scenic drive well worth the driving. I recommend anyone that wants too see beautiful scenery and just enjoy the peace and quiet and see God's work.

This was amazing. It shows you history but in an interactive way. You can walk through his entire farm by a light-moderate trail behind the cabin. We went on a rainy day and that didn't affect the experience. It's a must see for mountain goers.

This is a must see destination! Many over look this trail. Just past downtown Gatlingburg you would not imagine the scenery and wildlife. You drive through a old forgotten town with several trails, beautiful waterfalls, rocky streams, cabins and yes bears are here too. We have seen several bear along the main road and along the trails. Plenty of areas...

My tip, get to the first two overlooks as soon as possible. Then take your time getting down trail.
Don't be a jerk, pull over and let traffic around you.
I highly suggest stopping at point #9 on the way down. Look for the little trail that heads to the 'falls'. It's an easy walk and it's gorgeous

If you have issues with your knees, hips, etc and cannot take a hike on one of the many trails in the Great Smoky Mountains, I recommend this trail. It is a drive-thru trail where you can possibly see bears, deer, and other animals. It takes less than an hour to drive-thru, but it is a great trail.

Skip Cades Cove and go here. You get mountain views, waterfalls, beautiful streams, cabins... all close to Gatlinburg but feels like a world away. Go early in the day when it's quiet. Roll down your windows and enjoy!

After spent 4 hours touring this trail, my husband and I wished we could have more time. But we had a flight to catch and had to leave. Don't repeate our mistake. I would suggest total of 6 hours if you want to visit Grotto Fall during this tour also, like we did. The Grotto Fall trail is a 3-mile...

One of my favorite places to go in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Stunning waterfalls, bridges and wildlife in abundance on this one way narrow motor trail. Very peaceful and quiet. Historical log homes , very educational for the family . Amazing serenity.
