You are at the top of the mountains, so the view of the snow capped mountains is great. Get there early before the haze settles in to the area. More

The views from Hurricane Ridge are worth the drive up. The drive is totally manageable and they do a good job keeping the road in good condition. The views and the number of mountains that you can see is simply stunning. Take your camera and prepare to be amazed. The weather was constantly changing at the top. Enjoy the views... More

Coming from South Florida, it was a treat driving up the mountain. We must have passed at least 4 deers on the side of the road. The snow was more then 10 feet deep! The road stopped at the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center - the snow was too deep to go any further. Luckily we were there on a clear... More

Hurricane Ridge has absolutely stunning view and you can even see some glaciers from the ridge. Beautiful drive up. However, we did have to wait for the slat trucks to take a pass at the roads before ascending. More

Very remote, very pretty. November and December is not quite as nice, weather-wise, but certainly more serene and quiet. Saw deer less than two feet from the roadway. More

I love seeing the mountains so when this turned out to be just a side trip from Port Angeles before we took the ferry to Victoria - we just had to work it in. It was quite the cold day but we did not have any issues with visibility or weather. The views were spectacular and it just feels good... More

Well worth the $15.00 state park pass fee and that is good for 7 days. Plus your pass gets discounts down below in Port Angeles at the antique stores and restaurants in old Port Angeles. The views are totally breathtaking. Pull out for photos whereever the space allows. Be prepared for deer along side of the road up so have... More
