I went to Hurricane Ridge twice. First time, i went there in April and it was covered in snow. It looked great and was perfect to click pictures. last time, i was there in Sept and it was all greens. It was more than words. We went on some trails and went high up to sunrise point. Must go place!!! more

We spent one full day in Olympic Nation Park and hit all three elements (Hurricane Ridge-mountain, Hoh Rain Forest-rain forest, Rialto Beach-ocean). Hurricane Ridge was our first stop out of three. With spectacular views from the visitors center and lots of hiking from there, you can't go wrong. Flowers, deer, mountains, etc. We did this as a day trip from a family reunion 3 hours away and kicked ourselves for not allowing at least a couple of days in the park. Although we'd heard about the road construction on the way up to Hurricane Ridge, we decided to brave it. The delays were exactly as described on the website and in their brochure -- several delays of a total of about 20 minutes. The washout of the road is pretty scary to see and it's good that they are repairing it!... more

What an amazing place. Beautiful views! Many trails conveniently close by! Beautiful views! Wildlife within arms reach. And even mid-July there was still a fair amount of snow in some spots.
