We stayed in Grant Village in April when most of King's Canyon was closed due to lack of employees. This lack of help included the restaurant where a lone, surly waitress eventually served us cold food fried to the texture of our chairs. The Sequoia tree is a spectacular site. The sheer size and girth will astonish and amaze all. The park is well maintained with ample parking and picnic sites.
