The Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park was spectacular. There are multiple places to stop along the drive and several pet friendly hikes along the way. Besides the scenic overlooks, we saw a black bear with 2 cubs right by the side of the road and multiple white tailed deer. More

The vistas afforded by traveling this road are amazing. The Blue Ridge Parkway to the south is also beautiful but the panoramic views of the Shenandoah valley on Skyline Drive are striking. There are many places to eat and stop for a bathroom break. There is also gas available. More
