There is a one mile hike from the view point that is positively delightful at its end point. The day we went, nobody was there and we lingered at the hike terminous for about an hour observing the two hundred million year Navajo Sandstone from atop a grand stone outcropping. Great memory!

This one you actually get to add an "s" to the end of canyons because there are several finger canyons. So the correct term is Zion Canyons. The road is 5 miles and it is located about 10 miles or so from Cedar City. Along the road is a Visitor Center, several trailheads and a picnic area at the end.

A climb up to Kolob Reservoir, sometimes has snow so check the sign board before you go up. I would not recommend anything but a 4 x when there is snow. I drove up all the way, past snow line, and parked and hiked in but you can 4x up too. Great views, stunning. Can have quick weather changes so...

I really enjoyed this drive out of the main part of Zion National Park. Even though I have been to Zion multiple times & I had never tried this road. Not a lot of tourists here- saw very very few other cars. Great scenery, many trailheads. Some dirt roads for exploring. I hope to get back there again

You travel outside the park for quite a ways. A great way to escape if you like to hike in solitude. The road is good and the scenery breathtaking.

There are 3 sections of Zion. The main park, Kolob Terrace and this section, Kolob Canyons or Kolob Fingers. The scenic road is beautiful and nothing like the main section of Zion. This section is near Cedar City.

Ut is right off the highway, we had the pass already paid (otherwise $25). We hiked down to Taylor Creek with the kids. It was so hot they just wanted to hang out and play there. We...

We decided to make a "quick" stop off I-15 on our way back to Vegas from Arches and Capitol Reef. It had snowed the night before and ranger said the road was closed. It happened to open while we were at the visitor center and we drove the whole length in, stopping everywhere to take photos of the snow and...
