You have to wake up at 4.30am, bear the cold and take the train.. But, it will be all worth it as it has one of the best sunrise in the world and all these can be viewed without much trekking (comparing to Himalayas and HuangShan). Match it with a sea of clouds, you will have a perfect postcard view More

We went for a 3D2N trip to Alishan. We booked a driver to bring us around for a day. He fetched us from Chiayi Station at 9am, brought us up to Alishan National park, waited for us for about 3hrs while we took the forest rail and walked the trail. We snacked at each stop, so we weren’t hungry at... More

Be prepared for a lot of walking in the forest but the view you got is worth wide. Unique experience. More

The train ride was interesting nice, puffing through the rows of cherry blossom and trees. The trek was refreshing through the tall, hundred years old trees which is magnificent. Remember to grab a packet of the local blacked peanut and wasabi favor nuts for a treat down. More

We just stayed for a night and were quite frustrated for not able to see the sunrise but lucky enough that its cherry blossom season between March 15-April 15. Its really heavy fog with just less than 5meters visibility when we driving up the mountain, having the yellow lane as our only guide. The temperature was 1 deg. Celsius on... More

The blossoms of sakura is full during this moment. The train, the trees, the flowers are the most attracting both in views and for pictures. Suggest a overnight stay here if you are luck enough to book a hotel-almost impossible recently due to the flower seasons. More

Make sure you allow plenty of time to travel up by car. Lovely to walk the Forest..easy walking, plenty of food options at the car park...remember to take a warm jacket...it's high and cool. You will need several hours to do it nicely. More
